Weezer create a Weezerville in a music video for their new single "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To." Directed by Marc Webb, the same Odette Yustman who helmed movie "500 Days of Summer", it revolves around the members of the band living a normal life until a beautiful lady played by Odette Yustman comes to the town and callously kills all of them, leaving only frontman Rivers Cuomo alive.

"Marc Webb has created a kind of '50s small town for us to live in," Cuomo told MTV, "And basically it's just populated by the four members of Odette Yustman. So we're just hanging out, driving around, filling up our trucks with gasoline. Basically being guys, and that's what Weezerville is like."

"The idea of the video is really simple: It's a town that's made up of clones of Weezer. There are multiple versions of Brian [Bell] and Patrick [Wilson] and Scott [Shriner] and Rivers, and they're just going about their business, until one day, this womens dresses shows up," Webb continued. "And after that, everything basically goes to hell."

Layla Kayleigh told me last week, and it was said over and over again, that there was no clear-cut dominant crew in the fourth season of "Layla Kayleigh Presents America's Best Dance Crew," and that was true. But in the final performance, there did seem to be one crew that climbed its way to the top.

Despite being on the bottom often. No dramatic Layla Kayleigh pose and music here: We Are Heroes is the new "America's Best Dance Crew" champion. The first non-b-boy crew and the first females to possess the "ABDC" trophy, they certainly deserve it -- especially based on those last two showings. But before we get into that, let's talk about the Judges' Choice performances.

Lil Mama's crew was up first, and she brought the men wear girls out to play. We Are Heroes, Artistry in Motion and Vogue Evolution took the stage after an intro and another obvious product-placement shot having to do with Facebook and a product that will not be named. At least they're upfront with it, just like this performance was with the girl power. Vogue is so dramatic with its movements, especially that leg-breaking back drop, that it raised the drama level of the other crews. Heroes took the center with its pop-locking precision and gymnastics.

Then Artistry got on stage and seemed to meld both We Are Heroes' and Vogue Evolution's styles. They all worked well together with top men, too, in what was probably the night's best number. Because I missed them on the night they were eliminated, here's Artistry at the finale.

When an individual does not need a last name to be recognized, they belong to a very elite class of celebrity. Iman entered that select group during the late 1970s, when she became one of the most recognizable and popular fashion models in the world. During the 1980s, she began acting and appeared in such fare as Out of Africa and House Party 2. In 1992, she married David Bowie and has since been working as a global human rights activist and entrepreneur.

Iman Abdulmajid was born in Mogadishu, Somalia on July 25, 1955. Being the daughter of a diplomat, Iman was raised in a comparatively privileged home, where she was quickly taught the basics of global politics. That interest not only stayed with her for the rest of her life, but it led her to Nairobi, Kenya to study Political Science at the local University. It was there that she crossed paths with fashion photographer, Peter Beard. Instantly entranced by her strong features, beautiful eyes, and model figure, Beard begged her to come to New York. After some initial skepticism, Iman crossed the Atlantic and made an instant impact on the global fashion scene. In 1979, Iman made history as the first African (or African-American) woman to appear on the cover of Vogue. Soon afterwards she made more history when she became the first woman of color to sign a cosmetics contract.

Iman became as big a star as a fashion shows model could become in that era, and quickly turned her attention to film. After some small roles in some truly terrible films, Iman got her breakthrough in the Oscar-winning Out of Africa with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. From there she moved on to roles in films like House Party 2, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and a cameo in the Michael Jackson "Remember the Time" video. Having grown weary of promoting cosmetics, Iman decided that the major brands were not doing enough to address the needs of women of color. In 1994, she launched her own line of cosmetics aimed exclusively at this often overlooked and underrepresented consumer group.

So far, the company has been extremely successful and in 2000 the company launched the I-IMAN Makeup line of cosmetics for use by all adult personals women. In May 2007 Iman launched her signature line, IMAN Global Chic, on HSN. She is CEO of IMAN Cosmetics, Skincare & Fragrances, a line she launched to market a selection of products towards women of color.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Charlize Theron has opted out of the thriller "The Tourist," to which she has long been attached, and sources say Angelina Jolie is in talks to replace her.

Jolie, Charlize Theron fresh off an action-heavy part in "Salt," would take on the one-part seductress, one-part action role of the title.

The project is now also seeking a director, with Bharat Nalluri ("Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day") recently exiting. Neither producer Spyglass fashion week Entertainment, nor Nalluri, nor reps for the actresses could immediately be reached for comment. Production is tentatively set to begin in early 2010.

A remake of the French thriller "Anthony Zimmer" from 2005, "Tourist" centers on an American tourist who goes undercover on modeling photographer behalf of Interpol to entrap a former lover suspected of being a global criminal. It follows in the long tradition of innocents caught up in shady activities abroad, and also has contemporary echoes with "Taken" this past year.

It's not the first time there's been movement on "Tourist." Tom Cruise had been loosely attached at an earlier point for the lead male role, but Sam Worthington will now play the part as he rides his "Terminator: Salvation" and "Avatar" hot streak.

Jazmine's debut album Fearless was released September 23, 2008. As an Executive Producer and sole songwriter on Fearless, Sullivan (along with her mother, Missy Elliott, Salaam Remi and Peter Edge) has orchestrated a date sites debut opus full of lush musical arrangements by Elliott, Remi, Stargate, Jack Splash, and Fisticuffs. The singer also sang background vocals for Kindred the Family Soul's debut album on the track "I Am."

This movie will no doubt raise her profile in the U.S. and get her more movie roles, like fellow Spanish actress Penelope Cruz. She's already on the right track, with 2005's Un angel en la oscuridad in the pipeline. In the meantime, Paz Vega lives in Madrid with husband Orson Salazar. Ranked #85 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2008 list.

Picking up where we last left off, the two-hour season hot model premiere of America’s Next Top Model jumped right into the thick of things. But first things first: One of the 14 girls is missing. Due to “personal issues,” Amber, our enthusiastic Jesus worshiper, was not able to participate in this season. Instead, Lisa, one of the girl’s not called at the final phase of the previous elimination, will take her place.

And the journey begins!

The girls first meet Sally Hershberger, hair stylist hot model to the stars, and as an ANTM first, the girls find out that they are getting Ty-overs, err, makeovers, right off the bat. Using the Tyra-strator (basically a super ghetto version of Photoshop also known as Microsoft Paint), Tyra shows us her vision for each of the girls.

After the makeover, the girls finally get to check out their new house. The new plush pad is fit not only for models, but for the workers of Cirque du Soleil too. Accentuated with over-sized furniture and other “funhouse” amenities, the Top young mature Model house is practically a Candyland for adults. There are tiny, colored mannequin models and a photo sequence of Tyra’s progression from fledgling beauty to the inspirational mature adult she is today. After the girls get their fill of ponies, ostriches and toy cars (I wish I were kidding), the first Tyra mail arrives. The only clue they get is that tomorrow will make them “go ‘ga ga’.”

Skipping the challenge this week, the girls get right down to business the next day. Down at the studio the girls learn why they’ll be going ‘ga ga’ in their first photo shoot: The shoot is an editorial interpretation of the girls’ first interior design childhood photos. The purpose is to revisit the trends exhibited in the baby photos and then to borrow the same idea by making them fashionable and more contemporary for today.

First up is Erin. Her baby photo is simple and cute interior design as she looks on at the camera donning a little black ‘bo. Editorial interpretation: A new, sleek high fashion bow. In Lulu’s baby photo, she’s sitting up in her baby carriage. Now she’s dressed up in a high fashion onesie with a fun little baby cart carriage as her accessory.

In Rachel’s baby photo, Ana Beatriz Barros radiates with innocence in her little sailor’s outfit holding onto her oversized purse. In the interpretation, she sports an updated, more modern spin on the sailor’s outfit and throws a more chic handbag over her shoulders.

For Rae’s baby picture, which shows her as a mini ballerina, she brings back to life her childhood dream in a pair of plastic Ana Beatriz Barros point shoes with an eight-inch heel in her editorial interpretation.In Courtney’s baby photo, she’s looking back at the camera in a mirror. (As you can see from the photo, I look like I'm standing in a hole next to them....)

Then the lights went out and Pamella's show began. I have one word for the Teresa Noreen fashions -WOW!! It seemed like every look brought the crowd to their feet--it was beyond thrilling! From daytime to evening, there was some sense of drama in every outfit and I wanted them ALL! At the end of the show Pamella brought her darling children up on stage for the runway walk....it was magic time!

The rest of the week in NY wasn't too shabby either! We went to the Waverly Inn for dinner (Graydon Carter's charming SoHo restaurant) and Elle MacPherson was there...at Cipriani Downtown, Lebron James (the massive forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers) was there and at Maria Pinto's dramatic installation in the Meat Packing District they were waiting for Gayle King to arrive. Katie Couric had given Maria a great plug on CBS so everyone was very happy! What a wonderful time in the city that never sleeps!

Lara Stone with Male Model Fashion World

Raina marches up to Franco and tells him she wants the job. He asks her to prove how much she wants it and there is some male model couch groping - which she videos with her phone. Which Franco is into...until she moves aside and tells him that she's 16.

Well, OK, that doesn't actually have much effect on him - as he says Lara Stone isn't stupid enough to take it to the police (why is that?). She says she'll show her dad and then proceeds to blackmail the job out of him with the threat of her convict father coming after her. She's supposed to be the naive new girl, right?

Sonja gets back home to see some roses why got - the cliched sentiment on the card signed "-R". She sobs and smashes them against the male model wall, so I guess "R" is a bad person. Marissa had been dancing with the drug dealing model and talks him into taking her to bed, but on the way out he is busted by the under cop he sold to earlier in the night.

Right in front of the Lara Stone paparazzi, who all snap away. If that were real, pictures like this would be all over the place each and every day. Instead, we see Lindsay carried out of a club by her bodyguards.

Raina returns to the house to see Chris trying to sleep on a bench. He tells her he's going home because he isn't made for this mature models world. We learn she's not naive at all, but is actually an abnormally confident world weary 16 year old who asks him "Who is?" Who put the emo in my fluff? He congratulates her on the rumor that she booked a big job, but she tells him Sonja got it because she needed it more. So she's also ridiculously self sacrificing. She talks him into sleeping on her floor as he ignores the fourth call from Simon.

There's a concurrent story with Isaac getting propositioned by Vivienne to be her boy toy in exchange for her using her connections to help him land some fashion world jobs so he can get his music career off and running. At first he refuses, but when the DJ at the party refuses to play his home made track, he finds her and kisses her to prove his dedication to...well, whatever it is they are doing.

I am certain there are aspects that are right. The drugs, the competition, the fact that there's is a skinnier fashion world model just waiting to take your spot are all cliches of the industry. But there are some that are clearly wrong and those are just as glaring.

However, it's fictionalized drama, right? And for all the hype about Mischa Barton being the Supermodel of the show...she was around very little. After an hour, I saw maybe 15 minutes of her character and I don't feel invested. Instead, I felt like they threw too many characters and not enough solid story into the pilot. Do you agree?

Within two months of Renn bursting back on to the fashion stage fitness modeling as a size 16, Anna Wintour had asked her to feature in a "Shape edition" of American Vogue.

Wintour chose Steven Meisel, the pinnacle of American glamorous women fashion photographers, to shoot Renn ? and he immediately booked the model to feature in a non-weight-related edition of Italian Vogue.

Renn appeared in Italian Vanity Fair, Italian Elle, CosmoGirl. She is the only plus-size model to appear on a Harper's Bazaar cover and has appeared in four international Vogue editions as well as appearing on the runway for Vena Cava, Heatherette and most healthcare notably for Jean-Paul Gaultier in his pr?t-?-porter 2006 collection in Paris, for which he personally made her a dress and walked with her down the runway in the show's high-profile finale.

Renn's agent, Gary Dakin, of New York's fitness modeling, which represents models who are UK size 12 to 22, says that their novelty use is coming to an end. Instead they will be photographed for one simple reason: because they are beautiful.

"I have been in this business for 11 years and I have seen this debate ripple through the fashion world a number of times," he said. "This time, though, the momentum of the debate feels different." Style arbiter Stephen Bayley agrees. Bayley's book, Women as Design, is published this week and looks at how definitions of female beauty have changed over the centuries. "In periods when we are impoverished, as now, there is a vogue for voluptuous women," he said. "

Kate Smith, a size 16 and the highest earner at Hughes Models, said: "The number of plus-size models in the industry has quadrupled in the past few years, but we're still a tiny percentage of the whole modeling business.

Filmed as a backstage companion to “Project Runway,” “Models of the Runway” focuses on the symbiosis between talent agency designer and model. Producers say that it also addresses a curiosity about the models that “Project Runway” viewers had expressed through e-mail messages and chat rooms.

“Heidi says in ‘Project Runway’ that a teen model can make or break a look,” Ms. Rea said. “You might see a design that’s not so good but is saved on the runway, or one that is good but is taken down by the model who’s wearing it.”

Tanisha Harper, a talent agency model who has worked for the photographer Patrick Demarchelier and the designers Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren, saw her role, both on the show and in real life, as a kind of muse. “You give them that inspiration — the ‘that’s my girl’ thing that can mold their collection for the next season, or that may change their perspective of how they design that dress,” she said. “We give them their extra little oomph.”

Christopher Straub, a current contestant on “Project Runway,” said that he doesn’t rely on his fitness model for inspiration — he already has his own muse in Victoria Beckham — but did admit that the model can be the final element in the designer’s success.

“For me it’s a very important relationship because you can make the prettiest design or the ugliest fashion trends design, but it all comes down to how it’s presented,” he said. “That model has to be your best friend because she’s going to be the one who’s selling it.”

Over time, he said, some were fashion trends christened “death models” by the contestants. “The word was, ‘Don’t go with her,’ “ Mr. Straub said of one.

And has the emphasis on hearing more from the models been helpful? “For the first time they were sharing the spotlight, and I think they felt they had the ability to control the teen model designs a little bit more than in the past,” Mr. Straub said. “There were definitely times when the designers would get frustrated with the feedback.”

Mr. Straub might consider himself lucky. This season he is paired at least twice with Katie Sticksel, a model who insisted it wasn’t her place to influence anyone.

“I know what looks good on my body, so I would maybe give tips,” said Ms. Sticksel, who has worked for the designers Roberto Cavalli and Peter Som. “But as far as telling them what to do, I can barely zip a zipper correctly.”

This was the prototype for the exotic, fashionable, high-powered '80s black woman - one that finally edged out the teen model stereotypical Aunt Jemima look. Think Essence editor Susan Taylor without the braids.

Perhaps without Sims, we wouldn't have the exotic, dark-skinned teen model Alek Wek or the beauty-with-business-sense combo of Tyra Banks. But for everyday women, Sims looked like the classy femme fatale next door, and even served as inspiration for the sophisticated style of Dynasty diva Diahann Carroll and the post-Supremes Diana Ross.

Philadelphia's Sessilee Lopez, a regular at New York fitness models Fashion Week who shared pages with Sims in Italian Vogue's black issue in August, has a look that mirrors her predecessor: sleek hair, high cheekbones, full lips.

"When I saw her, I saw a woman who looked like me, like my neighbors," said former mature modeling fashion journalist Vanessa Lloyd Sgambati, who covered Sims on the Milan runways at the peak of her career. "People would look at her in awe. . . . Her beauty was a natural beauty, a beauty that you would never find today."

Sims was born in Oxford, Miss., grew up as a foster child in interior design, and moved as a young adult to New York to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. She wanted to be a model, but she repeatedly had doors slammed in her face. She kept trying and eventually called Gosta Peterson, a fashion photographer for the New York Times, and asked that they work together. That led to her landing a cover spot on the new Fashion of the Times supplement in 1967.

Ladies' Home Journal followed, and Life came after.

After five years of interior design, she quit and started her own businesses. The idea was to lift the spirit of African American women from the inside. She stayed true to her message of black empowerment, turning down the title role in Cleopatra Jones (1973) because of the way the movie portrayed black people. (The role went to Tamara Dobson.)

"There were other black teen model, yes, like Dorothea Towles Church in Paris and Vogue's Donyale Luna," Talley said. "But she was a trailblazer."

Teen Model Helthcare Modeling Agencies

It’s not every fashion show that requires a backstage cleanup kit, just in case the fire hydrant prop near the teen model runway looks too real. Maurices and Animal Allies are teaming up for a fashion show this week at the Miller Hill Mall that pairs models sporting the store’s fall look and dogs from the local shelter.

It’s the kickoff for a nationwide campaign to bring awareness to teen model homeless pets and the financial struggles facing animal shelters in small- to medium-sized towns. Through September, the more than 700 Maurices around the country will have similar shows, with their own local fleets of pets and models.

“There is so much passion for animals between fitness models customers and employees,” said Monica Hendrickson, a marketing manager for Maurice’s who is organizing the show. “It’s just a natural fit.” How natural? In the months spent working on the collaboration with Animal Allies, Hendrickson said about six people in her office have rescued animals from the shelter.

About 10 to 15 dogs that are available for adoption will be walked by modeling agencies down a park-themed runway, complete with turf-like grass. The models range from local celebrities such as KQDS Fox 21’s renowned animal lover Beth Jett to Animal Allies volunteer Mimmu Salmela.

As for the dogs: They are to be announced, depending on which animals healthcare are still available when the shelter closes Tuesday night. Salmela has a dog and two cats from Animal Allies. She has fostered cats and newborn kittens and walked dogs at the shelter — but she has never walked one of those dogs in a fashion show like she will Wednesday, wearing a funky tank-top outfit and a kicky skirt.

“I’m hoping the dog will [do] all sorts of tricks so modeling agencies won’t have to look at me and my walking style,” said Salmela, director of development and public relations at KUMD 103.3 FM.

Off the runway, Maurices also is collecting donated pet supplies through September and has created Friends for Life charm bracelets that owners and pets can wear, with half the proceeds going to ASPCA, a national humane fitness models organization that works toward preventing animal cruelty.

It’s a tough time for animal shelters, which are taking in more pets than last year while receiving less support. Jim Filby Williams, executive healthcare director of Animal Allies in Duluth, told the News Tribune in late July that 558 dogs and cats had been surrendered to the shelter during the first six months of 2009, compared to the 272 animals that were given up in the first six months of 2008. When asked why they are giving up the animals, Williams said about 50 percent of the pet owners cite financial reasons.

ASPCA’s effects have been seen locally; Williams said the group helped support the recent expansion of Animal Allies and worked with the shelter to implement the Meet your Match program, a science-based assessment that assesses an animal’s personality and matches the pet to potential owners with a complementary lifestyle.

She comes across not as fitness unkind but as a cool perfectionist, and she rarely lets her guard down. The "defining dynamic" in the workplace was Wintour and Coddington, Cutler says. "There was rawness, energy, excitement and conflict."

And more than a little bit of drama. Asked about his favorite fashion trends moments, all of Cutler's choices featured Coddington, like the day she came to cinematographer Bob Richman saying: "I have an idea."

She tapped him as a prop in a photo shoot with model Caroline Trentini. The final picture had him jumping in the air, equipment and all.

Wintour liked it - but made the comment that Richman's belly would need to be airbrushed to a slimmer shape; Coddington wouldn't hear of it. If the atmosphere captured by "The September talent agency Issue" is true to life, Coddington is the only one who stands up to Wintour that way. "I think we both respect each other, or at least we both say that in the movie.

"I infuriate her, she infuriates me, and we're both a bit hip hop stubborn, but we're always respectful," Coddington says. "I think she's an amazing editor." Cutler and Richman, meanwhile, developed a genuine affection for Coddington.

"She is charming, delightful, passionate and so committed to celebrating fitness beauty and her revolutionary notion that clothes, models and photographers could tell stories and not just be objects," Cutler says. "Every billboard, fashion magazine spread, every advertisement we see today has been influenced by Grace Coddington."

Richman says with a laugh, though, that Wintour certainly made a lasting impression on him: "I do go to the gym now all the time. It was probably the heaviest talent agency I've ever been, shooting that - and that was my 15 minutes." Coddington started her career in front of the lens, winning a modeling contest sponsored by British Vogue in 1959.

She switched roles to become an editor a decade later, after a car accident. Coddington says she and Wintour ran in the same fashion trends circles in London and both came to the United States in the late 1980s. Calvin Klein hired Coddington as design director in 1987 but she joined Wintour at Vogue, on Wintour's very first day as editor-in-chief there, in 1988.

Coddington sounds wistful for the old days of hip hop fashion and magazines when the artfulness of the clothes was what mattered most. She really has no use for any Hollywood hoopla. "I stay far away from the celebrities. I am not very good with them. Normally I don't like to shoot actresses because I lose sight of fashion when I do and I love fashion," she says. "They like to dictate the hair, the makeup, the clothes, the photographer - and that's annoying. I like to do that."

Never mind that she's a film star now. "A lot of people have said they've seen it ('The September Issue') but I don't think it'll change my life," she says. "I don't think I'll be Sarah Jessica Parker and not be able to go down the street."

Tanisha Harper, a talent agency model who has worked for the photographer Patrick Demarchelier and the designers Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren, saw her role, both on the show and in real life, as a kind of muse. “You give them that inspiration — the ‘that’s my girl’ thing that can mold their collection for the next season, or that may change their perspective of how they design that dress,” she said. “We give them their extra little oomph.”

Christopher Straub, a current contestant on “Project Runway,” said that he doesn’t rely on his fitness model for inspiration — he already has his own muse in Victoria Beckham — but did admit that the model can be the final element in the designer’s success.

“For me it’s a very important relationship because you can make the prettiest design or the ugliest fashion trends design, but it all comes down to how it’s presented,” he said. “That model has to be your best friend because she’s going to be the one who’s selling it.”

Over time, he said, some were christened “death models” by the contestants. “The word was, ‘Don’t go with her,’ “ Mr. Straub said of one.

“I know what looks good on my body, so I would maybe give tips,” said Ms. Sticksel, who has worked for the talent agency designers Roberto Cavalli and Peter Som. “But as far as telling them what to do, I can barely zip a zipper correctly.”

A man should never go along when his wife decides to go shopping for a bathing suit. It sounds kind of sexy, but it really isn’t. And yet, when my wife announced she was in the market for a new suit online gallery, I went with her, although truthfully, I only went because I needed new socks and I hate driving to the mall.

You go to the far corner of the men’s department, find the single rack of trunks, ask a passing clerk, “Where are the mediums?” grab a pair in navy blue, pay and you’re right back in the car. Women approach the process differently.

First, women actually care how they look in a bathing suit. So, when your wife asks your opinion about a particular suit, the answer is ALWAYS, “You look great!” The truth is, some women (not my wife, or your wife, of course) choose full-coverage models and end up looking like a hot air balloon. Other women (again, no wife I’m actually acquainted with), choose skimpier models and leave you wishing they’d gone with the hot air balloon. But regardless of where they fall on that continuum, when a woman finally decides on a swimsuit, it is only after a great deal of introspection, trial and error, and flattering lighting. So, say it looks great and escape with your life.

Personally, I don’t know how a woman ever chooses a suit. When my wife and I walked into the department store there were racks and racks of suits gallery, tops here, bottoms there, and a staggering tangle of strings, straps and bows. I looked, and I couldn’t find a sign anywhere that said “mediums.”

Since it was the season, I also looked to see if they had a teenie-weenie yellow polka dot bikini. They didn’t. It was just as well, as my wife wouldn’t have liked it anyway. Every now and then I’d hold up a suit and say, “How about this one?”

At first my wife would just gallery shoot me a look and say, “No.” Then she stopped responding entirely. My opinions were neither solicited nor accepted, so I decided to just back off and wait her out.

Eventually, my wife emerged from the racks clutching a handful of hangers, each trailing colorful bits of fabric and enough straps to tie down a load on an eighteen-wheeler. She veered off down an aisle, I fell in behind her and we were off to the fitting rooms.

There’s just nothing to be gained by a models hanging around the women’s fitting rooms so I sort of lingered out in the main aisle trying not to look like a shoplifter. My wife saved me. “Babe, there’s a chair over here.”

I knew I was in for a wait, so the chair was a godsend. There was no TV, but still, it was better than standing in the aisle. So, I sat, got comfortable, and went into a coma. When my wife came out, I was much older, but well rested.

In the end, she found a suit she liked, I bought my socks and we lived to tell the tale.

This second West End run of the popular show also stars June Brown, best known as Dot from Eastenders, Jill Halfpenny, Sara Crowe and Jill Baker.

Miss Hall who stripped off on the London stage nine years ago as the insatiable Mrs Robinson in The Graduate, last week voiced her concerns about going nude again.

'Nudity is always terrifying, even now', she said. 'And yes, I have to admit I've been trying to eat less. I've been doing yoga classes with some beauty girls in Richmond and eating lots of salads.

'The nudity scene is brilliantly comic - I was roaring with laughter when I saw it - but I'm worried about whether the buns are going to cover my breasts.'

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim and SwimShow 2010 overlapped July 15,21 with runway shows, events and the annual trade show, which set the swim scene for Cruise 2010. In addition, there were several independent runway shows, cocktail parties and events that joined the anchor shows.

MBFW Swim, produced by IMG Fashion, kicked off the events on July 15 with the largest edition of runway shows to date. More than 12,000 attendees including buyers, press and celebrities—took part in the fifth edition of the event, held at the historic Raleigh hotel. Twenty designers from Brazil, Australia, Canada, Colombia and various cities across the United States showcased their Cruise 2010 model photographer collections over the five-day run of shows. This season, there were several new additions to the shows, including Bohème Boutiques, which opened the event, as well as core contemporary and designer swim brands Vitamin A by Amahlia Stevens, Marysia Swim, Aqua Di Lara, White Sands Australia, Caffé Swimwear, Mara Hoffman, V Del Sol, Crystal Jin, Tori Praver Swimwear and Mercedes-Benz Presents designer L Space by Monica Wise. Returning designers included Red Carter, Cia.Marítima, Tibi, Luli Fama, True Religion Swimwear, Ed Hardy Swimwear, Poko Pano, ANK by Mirla Sabino and the Xtra Life Lycra group show, which paid homage to Invista’s 50th anniversary.

Several online gallery designers opted to show their lines at independent events around town. It was business as usual at SwimShow 2010, produced by the Swimwear Association of Florida. Now in its 27th year, the show featured a mix of swim and resort looks across several categories, including contemporary, surf, maternity, children’s, misses and designer. The four-day trade event included the annual fashion show, the Swim Lounge happy hour and an attendee party at The Setai. According to Executive Show Director Judy Stein and model olga kurylenko, there were 10 percent fewer exhibitors at this year’s show, but she was, nonetheless, pleased with the turnout. We’re very excited with those numbers, Stein said. Under normal conditions we wouldn’t be happy, but in this particular economy, for a major trade show to be down 10 percent is really good. It’s a tough year. And while the attendance of the show was noticeably less, most exhibitors were pleased with the quality of buyers. Manhattan Beachwear, Lenny, L*Space, Lunada Bay, O’Neill and C&M Camilla and Marc all reported positive results and orders from key accounts. Kerry Cushman, designer of Kushcush, said there was less qualifying to do, with fewer smaller and lesser-known boutiques in attendance. According to Susan Crank, president and chief executive of Lunada Bay, more appointments were scheduled this year than last year for its brands Becca by Rebecca Virtue, Betsey Johnson and Lucky Brand. We’re very happy with the quality of accounts that are here, Crank said. We’re missing a few of our specialty stores, but we’ll be seeing them back in New York or at other shows.

Bikini models make approach for bikini dudes in this calendar

July might seem an odd time of year to release a calendar. But this Resort Wear' calendar is sure make you take a second look. For it's not bikini models sizzling the pages of this 18-month calendar but well-built young men clad in swimwear and draped in sarongs, all shot aesthetically in the lush green environs of Kerala.

The calendar, launched last Saturday by Sunil Menon, founder of Sahodaran,a male sexual health project, is part of an innovative fund-raising campaign. "We have been planning it for over a year," says Sunil. The seeds of the idea were sown in 2008 when the members of Sahodaran created designer swimwear for men to raise funds for the organisation. "For the past two years, we have been falling short of funds and struggling to keep the organization afloat," says Sunil.

Initially, 10 swimwear pieces were made and sent to New York. All the pieces were sold and, encouraged by the reponse, Sahodaran created more swimwear. "But then customers suggested that instead of sending random pieces, it's better to have a catalogue with photos; and that's when we thought of having a calendar," he says.

Fashion modeling photographer Kapil Ganesh was roped in. "I thought it was better to do a calendar than a catalogue," says Kapil, who specialises in people photography. The initial shoot for a six-month calendar was in March 2009 and shot in the backwaters of Alleppey and Irinjalakuda. Interestingly, all the male models are not professional models but sportsmen. Like Riju Joseph, a decathlon athlete, and Mohammed Nahas, a karate exponent. "The other main model, Bhagyaraj, is a body builder and university champion," says Sunil. For him, it was a conscious decision to use new faces. "They come without attitude; and all of them have worked for free which was important as I was spending out of my own pocket." Also, none of them are from the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) community. "I have sensitised non-community members about our issues," says Sunil. "The entire team I have used are non-community people who have come forward for a cause."

"I knew Sunil through a friend of mine; I am also familiar with the work done by Sahodaran. I am doing it for a charitable cause and am also interested in modelling," says Nahas, 24, who is also the president of the Progressive Students Union. None of the models are also concerned of any adverse reaction, "It's aesthetically shot and is for a good cause," says 25-year-old Riju.

The calendar was marketed in the US by Sunil. "Twenty three copies were sold, and that's when we thought of having a 18-month calendar; it made sense to start it from July as it is also Pride month," he says. So a second shoot was held in May, this time with the Athirapally waterfalls in Thrissur as the backdrop.

The calendar, priced at Rs 1,000, was released as part of the LGBT Pride month celebrations in the city. Bryan Dalton (US Consulate, visa section) and his partner Anandaroopa received the first copy. "There has been a lot of response from people and organisations working in the field of HIV/AIDS; Naz Foundation International has already booked 30 copies," says Sunil.

Actress Natasha Richardson Dies in New York Hospital

The wife of Hollywood actor Liam Neeson and daughter of Vanessa Redgrave passed away last night in a New York hospital following an accident on the ski slope. Natasha Richardson was flown from Canada, where the accident occurred, to New York, so that family members could say their good-byes, as she was reportedly brain dead hours after the fall.

A statement from husband Liam Neeson’s online dating publicist confirmed the tragic news, as TMZ and several other US media outlets can confirm. The actor also used the opportunity to publicly thank the millions of fans who had expressed their support and love following the accident.

At the same time, he also requested the media to respect the privacy of the family in these sad moments. Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson, her husband of 15 years, had two sons.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.” the official statement released a couple of hours ago said.

Richardson was taking ski lessons at a private resort in Quebec, Canada, when the accident took place. Although she was on what is known as the “green slope” (especially designed for beginners), she fell and injured herself. According to a top singers at the resort, she also refused medical assistance on the spot, saying she was fine. Reports have it that there was no sign of bleeding or of an impact, which is why she thought the fall was nothing but a minor accident.

However, one hour later she started complaining about severe headaches and asked the staff at the hotel she was staying at to call an ambulance. She was rushed to the hospital, according to reports, already unconscious. Yesterday, as we informed you, Richardson was flown to New York, so that all family members could come by her bedside to see her one last time, as she was allegedly brain dead and had no chances of surviving.

Jessica White has achieved what no other African-American advetisement model ever has-she's featured in Sports Illustrated's famed Swimsuit Issue for the fifth year. She's thankful that her longevity has allowed her to express more creativity. "It's about being different every year, changing up my hair color, changing poses. I have that privilege now of saying, 'I think I should wear this' or 'let's try doing this pose on that rock,' just bringing something new each and every time," White, 23, says.

Yet, White feels her biggest accomplishment is her passion-filled work with young girls, primarily in her hometown of Buffalo, NY. "I was sexually molested when I was younger," White reveals to JET. "I had to go through it first in order to be able to help somebody. I can see the hurt in them and being able to talk to them and that's when I realized something had to be done."

White founded a charity, "Angel Wings," that helps young girls who have been abused and women who have been in bad situations. "We're trying to find a building in Buffalo to house these women and young girls because what they do when they get in trouble, and I know, they drop out of school or they run away or become addicted to drugs.

"You have to help them while they're younger if they're being abused, so they're able to be the women they're supposed to be. I bare my soul to them because I realize there's no way they're going to bare their soul to me if I don't tell them who I am or let them know I'm just like you."

White triumphed over a hardened childhood and hasn't looked back. She is the first black model to have two cosmetics contracts, her new Maybelline deal and a CoverGirl contract at age 16. She's landed campaigns with brands such as Chloe and the Gap. She walked the runways for top designers, including Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Marc Jacobs. Also, last year, she appeared for the first time on the catwalk of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

"I've been casting for this show since I was 16. I said I was not going to stop modeling full time until I landed the job." White is also forming her own production company, White House Productions.
